  Different types of Volunteering


Events Volunteer

Events Volunteers help out with a variety of agency events such as: our annual Golf Tournament Casino fundraisers.


Peer Mentor Volunteer

A Volunteer Peer Mentor provides support and training to new volunteers in the agency. A Volunteer Peer Mentor may also facilitate Volunteer Social Group meetings. This position provides an opportunity to help others and to learn how to teach and coach others.


Administrative Volunteer

The Administrative Support Volunteer helps with reception and duties such as greeting guests, answering phones, typing, and photocopying. This position provides an opportunity to learn valuable skills for working in an office.

 Program Volunteer

A Program Volunteer helps ILRCC members within our recreation programs. The Program Volunteer may act as an assistant to the Program Facilitator. This position provides an opportunity to learn about a variety of programs at the agency, have fun, and help others.

A Day in the Life

Volunteer are integral to ILRCC....

It would be difficult to imagine a day without volunteers as they are such an integral part of the Centre. 

Volunteers are involved in all aspects from completing office and clerical tasks to maintaining receptionist responsibilities.

Helping to raise funds at our casino to being a director on our Board.

Providing program support to being teachers and mentors in the areas of skill development and everything in between.
